Mediterranea is a non governmental (we do not accept funds form governments), no overheads (we have no running costs), 100% volunteer run, and logically is a non profit organization. Our members, active (volunteers) or passive, believe that we can do something during our life time to make this world a better and a more just place. We like to operate quickly, as hunger and suffering can not wait, and we go to great efforts to make our funds stretch as far as possible providing help to the maximum number of people, and we do not let obstacles stop us.
Near to 400 small children in Ethiopia, fed, educated clothed and medically attended. Food and clothing distributed to the poor in Mallorca. Collaboration with sister NGOs providing them with all kinds of help and supplies. Projects to better the Dangme East hospital in Ghana (building a mothers lodge, setting up a biochemistry laboratory, setting up a physiotherapy unit, etc) are just some of the things Mediterranea does.
